Suzlon Energy(up 5.49%), KPI Green Energy(up 3.20%), Gujarat Industries Power(up 2.41%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(up 1.79%), Inox wind(up 1.25%), Inox Wind Energy(up 1.11%), Torrent Power(up 0.92%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(up 0.86%), SJVN(up 0.54%) and ADANIGREEN(up 0.14%) stood among the top gainers.
KEC International(down 5.53%), Adani Transmissions(down 2.72%), JSW Energy(down 2.39%), Tata Power Company(down 1.70%), Indo Tech Transformers(down 1.44%), GE Power India Limited(down 1.42%), Indowind Energy(down 1.34%), NLC India(down 1.33%), DPSC(down 0.94%) and Reliance Power(down 0.85%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 104.75 points down at 18181.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 371.83 points at 61560.64.
Hero MotoCorp(up 1.38%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.3%), ITC(up 0.86%), UPL Ltd(up 0.74%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 0.68%), Bharti Airtel(up 0.62%), Adani Enterprises(up 0.55%), Britannia Industries(up 0.54%), Maruti Suzuki(up 0.53%) and Coal India(up 0.27%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.95%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 1.6%), SBI Life(down 1.54%), Tata Consultancy(down 1.52%), HCL Technologies(down 1.48%), Asian Paints(down 1.45%), Infosys(down 1.38%), Tata Steel(down 1.3%), Wipro(down 1.2%) and Bajaj Finance(down 1.17%) closed in the red.
