Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: HDFC Bank(Rs. 2496.49 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1814.49 crore), SBI(Rs. 1388.33 crore), Infosys(Rs. 1306.83 crore), Kotak Bank(Rs. 1049.01 crore), RIL(Rs. 992.69 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 938.48 crore), Bank of Baroda(Rs. 757.28 crore), HDFC(Rs. 710.28 crore) and Tata Motors(Rs. 709.61 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday's session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 104.75 points down at 18181.75, while BSE Sensex fell 371.83 points to 61560.64.
In the Nifty index, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 1.38 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.30 per cent), ITC Ltd.(up 0.86 per cent), UPL Ltd.(up 0.74 per cent) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 0.68 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.95 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.60 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.54 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 1.52 per cent) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 1.48 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
