NEW DELHI: A 40-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death and two people were injured during a brawl in Swaroop Nagar, police said on Sunday, adding that three people have been arrested and three juveniles apprehended while three of their associates are on the run.
The deceased was identified as Keshav. His brother Amit (21) and friend Arvind Sharma (35) were injured in the brawl.
Police found that around 7.30pm, there was an argument over change involving Arvind's cousin, Ritik, and three to four people near the sweets shop run by Amit and Keshav.
"Ritik was at the paan shop. The accused had purchased some soft drinks and eatable items, and there was an argument over change," an officer said.
Speaking to TOI, Amit said, "Those men were drunk, and we went there to pacify the matter. Later, they returned and three of them were carrying knives and attacked us," he said, adding there were many people at the spot, but no one came for help.
