Biker’s lucky day: Dropping Amitabh Bachchan to shoot, social media asks where are the helmets?
While some users said Bachchan should not have inconvenienced a stranger, others zeroed in on the stark absence of helmets on both heads.

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan usually travels in style, presumably or as the cliche goes, in cars. On Sunday, the star had to resort to thumbing a ride on a motorcycle to get to a shoot.
On Sunday, Bachchan’s Instagram account posted a photo of him riding pillion on the Himalayan in a brown coat, blue jeans and a black T-shirt. A man wearing a cap and in t-shirt and shorts was riding the bike. The veteran actor thanked the unnamed rider for helping him get to work when he had been delayed by a traffic jam. The actor thanked the anonymous biker for the ride and for getting him to a shoot location on time.
Bachchan’s granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda replied using emojis for laughter and a red heart. A fan remarked that Amitabh Bachchan was the coolest man on the planet and swore undying love for the star. Actor Sayani Gupta noted how Bachchan was always punctual at the sets and said she understood what it means to honour time, she wondered if other actors, especially the younger ones, would improve on their punctuality.

Luckily, the motorcycle was a Royal Enfield Himalayan, a descendant of the BSA WM 500 he rode in Sholay, so nothing would have been amiss. A common factor between the two incidents is that Big B is getting trolled for not wearing a helmet.

While some users said Bachchan should not have inconvenienced a stranger, others zeroed in on the stark absence of helmets on both heads.
Bachchan posted more pictures of the ride on his blog and thanked the rider of the Himalayan again. He noted that some locations are on roads which need to be blocked off until a shoot is complete. Due to this, he would have got caught in the sea of humanity which is usually around a film-shoot.

Though he didn’t apologise for not wearing a helmet, the star noted that traffic regulations need to be followed and should be enforced. He also said he often feels rage rising at motorists who don’t follow traffic regulations.
