Though Link has discovered some really interesting new abilities in his newest outing, climbing is a major part of the experience in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. You’ll spend quite a lot of time moving your way up the sides of cliffs to reach new areas, and sometimes you’ll even need to do so in icy tundras. But certain walls in those cold and dangerous areas can’t be climbed without the Froggy gear set. If you need to climb some slippery walls, read below to find the Froggy gear set first.

How to get the Froggy Armor set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Getting the Froggy gear set requires you to first head over to Lucky Clover Gazette to the east of Rito Village. Here, you’ll find Traysi inside, so speak to her to begin a long and winding quest called “Potential Princess Sightings.” This quest asks you to visit nearly all of the game’s stables, most of which should come naturally as you explore Hyrule.

Where you start the quest

At each stable you visit, you’ll need to speak with Penn, a Rito who will give you some additional quests that have you aid him in his newspaper reporting. As you complete quests for the dedicated reporter, you’ll unlock parts of the Froggy gear set, so you’ll need to see the questline through if you want to get all three pieces. It’s worth the effort, though, as being able to climb quickly up slippery slopes can make all of the difference in certain sections of the game.

When you enter the Orochium Shrine, head to the left side of the first room and destroy the enemy there. Look up along the wall to see a section jutting out, then go beneath it and use your Ascend ability to go through to the upper portion. Crawl through a small spot here and drop into the next area below, where you can defeat two enemies and will find a chest on the right side containing some arrows.

When you're done defeating the enemies and opening the chest, use your Ultrahand on the double doors in the center of this section and pull them opento reveal a new room ahead with lasers coming down from the ceiling.

However, sometimes you just want to keep things simple with a tried-and-true horse. You could always find and stable any number of normal horses across Hyrule, but if you're fancying something that feels a bit more dark and creepy, you'll want to round up a skeletal horse. If you want to ride these rare mounts around Hyrule, perhaps the easiest spot to round up skeletal horses is at Sanidin Park Ruin, across the river to the west of Mount Daphnes. If you visit this location late at night, you should spot plenty of skeletal horses wandering around the ruins. You can mount them like any other horse -- just slowly walk over to their side while they're standing still and quickly tap the A button.

Meanwhile, herds of skeletal horses can also be found deep underground in the pitch-dark Depths. You'll certainly stumble upon plenty of chasms leading to the Depths during your journey through Hyrule, so getting down there shouldn't pose too much of a problem.
