Amid a severe water crisis in Nashik, people of Amdongra village have been risking their lives to procure water. The women have to descend into a nearly dried-up well to fetch water amid scarcity. Amdongra village lies in the Peth Taluka of Maharashtra’s Nashik. As per the Deputy Sarpanch of the village, Amdongra has four wells and all are nearly dry. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, efforts to provide drinking water to villagers are ongoing.
