HYDERABAD: An auto driver allegedly throttled his wife to death suspecting her fidelity on Saturday night at Baghdad colony in Langar Houz.
Police said the accused Mohammed Jahangir, 49, murdered 40-year-old Kanees Begum after a heated altercation. It was around 11pm when the murder took place and later, the accused surrendered before Langar Houz police.
Cops said the couple has had marital disputes for a long time. "Due to this, the accused and his family members moved to Baghdad colony two weeks ago. They used to reside in Nampally," cops said.
On Saturday night, the couple visited one of their relatives' house, where an argument broke out between Jahangir and Kanees.
They left their four kids with relative and went to their home to have further discussion. Cops said during the argument, Jahangir throttled his wife to death at their house.
