A: INR 14K-19K

2. Preferred display size, type and resolution?

A: Camera, Youtube, WhatsApp

7. Single SIM/ Dual SIM?
A: No preference

8. New or Used? Online or Offline?

10. If you have already considered a phone, then please mention the model
A: None at the moment

I was in your shoes, having to change from a Poco F1. Went with a Motorola G62 5G, has minimal Android 12 and all the bloat can be removed/disabled. Camera is a downgrade but that's it. Purchased from Flipkart for 15K

Yes I am considering it but I am a bit put off by the absence of a compass. How much does the absence of a compass affect navigation? She rarely needs it for navigation currently but may need it more often in future.
In the same situation, I myself bought the G82 a few months ago instead of the G62. What about the G71 or something which also has the same processor? The G82 is rarely available with 6GB RAM and the 8 GB would be above budget.

I'm again in the same boat and rarely use navigation. A handful of times I've used google maps, never faced any issues regardong accuracy, direction etc.

I strictly wanted a snapdragon processor. No helios/exynos for me. Hence the G62 was the perfect fit.

Thanks. It would help if I go for G62 since I already have the G82 and the UI would be similar so it would be easier for me to provide customer support to my wife. :)
SD845 to SD695 seems to be a downgrade. Did it affect you @SunnyBoi ?

I used to run my Poco rooted+AOSP ROM with minimal apps. Even on the moto G62 I run minimal apps. The moto actually feels much faster thanks to the 120hz screen and is so much more smoother. There have been couple fo instances, especially with Gcam slowing down but that's the only scenario I can think of.

Poco F5 5G ....A true replacement of Poco F1 as this is the general perspectives as of now.

Edit: - Apologies for the post, Didn’t notice the budget.

I would recommend POCO X4 PRO 5G. It costs 15K(after discount, flipkart). The only downgrade is the processor which is not a problem if you don't play games.

All of the bloat can be easily removed by flashing pixel experience/lineageos.

I've already bought Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus(bought in a sale for 15.5K), and two Poco X4 Pro 5G to replace three poco f1's in my house. Flashed all of them with pixel experience rom.

I see 17.5K on FK. No games. No flashing.
She uses the camera a lot. I'm wondering if the G62 would be a problem. How about the G71? Is it better? How about the Realme 10 Pro 5G? Any options with a good camera? Samsung A23 even has OIS.

16.5K + SD Card(approx 15.5-16K after FK Axis Card). The only option that doesn't require flashing, and offers near stock is Motorola.

Motorola's phones are good but the camera is mostly bad. You can check out the reviews for the camera, and make a decision.

Did you check the iQoo Z7? It falls right within your budget and is getting very good reviews till now.
Even the Narzo 50 Pro can be considered (it is basically the same phone as the iQoo Z7)
Samsung A23 can be considered if you want a clean UI (Low budget A series may not be free from bloatware though)

The iQoo Z7 and Narzo 50 both have Mediatek processors.
Is the common complaint about Motorola G series cameras only a problem with the built-in camera app, which can be resolved by installing another app?

Oh! I think I am a bit confused. I saw the A23 at around 17K. Now I think there are 2 versions; one with 5G and the other without. Is that correct? In that case the A23 5G is beyond my budget.
Vivo T2 5g also appears to be a good candidate. How is it for camera and bloatware? Is Poco X5 5G also OK for camera and is the bloatware easily removable?

The Mediatek processor on these is quite power efficient. Unless you want to go for custom ROM's, there is no reason to not consider Mediatek processors. They are fast and power efficient and don't heat up.

Vivo T2 may have less 5G bands. Do check that. Either Vivo T2 or T2x had very few 5ag bands, forgot which one.

There was one iQoo Z6 Pro with the SD 778G. Also Z5 was there with similar processor. Z6 Pro would be just above 20k. Not sure if Z5 is available anymore.

Also best time to buy phones is over now. Wait till July for the next sale. Usually there are 2 Pre Independence day sales, one in July and one in the beginning of August. Wait till then for good offers.

If the camera issue can be resolved by installing a camera app, I would prefer to go with Motorola G62 or G71. Can anyone confirm that? G71 is preferred because of the AMOLED display.
I would consider the Poco X4 5G or Poco X5 5G or Redmi Note 12 5G if the bloatware can be uninstalled without flashing the firmware.
I would consider the Realme 10 Pro 5G if someone here recommends it in relation to my requirements.

Poco X4's bloatware can easily be removed via XDA's platform tools- https://www.xda-developers.com/uninstall-carrier-oem-bloatware-without-root-access/
There are some guides in YT for this as well. Other than unoptimisation, MIUI actually offers more features than stock android, plus you get the benefit of 67w charging. I think there's a gcam port for X4 as well, so for camera, it can destroy every phone in this budget.

Same story with realme, it runs on A13, but is filled with bloatware, which again, can be removed with that link. I recently removed every possible bloat and ad from a relative's Realme mobile, and the phone is just extremely snappy, even with a midrange SoC (MTK G95) and 100GB used storage. Realme and Samsung have the most hardware optimized UI IMO. Stock cams are the best in the 10 pro as well.

For both these phones, you'll have to set a solid 2 hrs if you're new to debloating, although it can take even lesser time

Thanks @DestGod . That is some really encouraging information. I will take another look at the Poco X4 and Realme 10 Pro phones. Is there a gcam port for the Moto G62 and G71 too and does it cure the "bad camera" complaint? If that works, I probably don't need to spend time for debloating. Moreover, the Moto phones will give me more future Android updates than the Poco I guess. The Samsung F23 5G also looks interesting. How is the F23? The one issue is the gaudy colours. No black or grey.
