ICSE board result: Tribal students put up a good show in Gumla

GUMLA: Tribal students in the lone ICSE board institute in Gumla, Don Bosco School, performed well in Class X exams, results of which were declared on Sunday. Six of the ten top performers are from tribal community.
Harsh Agarwal secured 95.6% to become the school topper followed by two tribal girls Esha Bhumika Ekka with 94.2% and Shristy Catherine Kerketta with 93.6%. Among other girls, Harsha Patel Sahu got the 4th position with 91.6% while Ipsa Kumari got 5th place securing 89.9%.
Saksham Gupta obtained 86% marks for 9th place among top ten. Among the best performing tribal boys are Udit Toppo, Saksham Dang, Arush Oraon and Shishir Lakra who bagged 89.6%, 88%, 86.4% and 85.6 % to secure 6th, 7th ,8th and 10th positions.
Harsh Agarwal secured 99 out of 100 in CA, 98 in mathematics , 97 in history/civics & geography and 91 in science. Esha Bhumika got 97 in Hindi and Shristy Catherine obtained 92 in English. Principal Fr Birendra Lakra said, “A total 100 students had appeared in the Class X exam and all passed."
