B.Tech student dies in hostel bathroom

Jaipur: A 21-year-old B.Tech student died under mysterious circumstances in his hostel bathroom under Bikaner’s Bichalwal police station area. Police have neither ruled out suicide nor murder and initiated investigations.
According to police, Anoop Singh fainted inside the bathroom when his roommate and the administration intimated the police on Saturday night. A team of senior police officers with forensic experts reached the spot.
“Anoop, a resident of Khetri in Jhunjhunu was a second-year engineering student. We took him to PBM Hospital in Bikaner where he was declared brought dead. The body was sent for post-mortem,” said a senior police officer. Police said that primary investigation suggests that the youth consumed poisonous substance. “It needs to be probed if he consumed it himself or was administered by someone,” the officer added. tnn
