Businessman George Soros rubbishes report of his death, says ‘I am alive and healthy’

Earlier, there was a speculation on the microblogging site that he had died, following which the 92-year-old confirmed about his well being.

Hungarian-American businessman and philanthropist George Soros on 15 May confirmed that the he is completely fine and healthy.

Taking to Twitter, George Soros wrote, “Rumors that I had a heart attack are completely false. I am alive and healthy."

Earlier, there was a speculation on the microblogging site that he had died, following which the 92-year-old confirmed about his well being.

Citing Politics for All Ireland, a Twitter used post an update, writing, "Breaking: George Soros had died of a violent heart attack."

The tweet had gone viral and had acquired 917.2K views, 1,069 retweets and 2571 likes.

Earlier in 2013, Reuters too had accidently published a 'premature' obituary of Soros, but later released an apology following the false report went viral.
