It’s the 46th day of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The 62nd match this season will be played between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The match will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 15 at 7:30 PM.

Had the points table been not crowded with technically all teams still capable of qualifying, the Titans would have entered the playoffs already. The defending champions are now leading the table with 16 points, having won eight out of the 12 matches they have played so far.

The Sunrisers, on the contrary, have won only four of the 11 matches they have played so far. They are at the second last position on the table. It’s a must-win match for them as losing it will ensure their elimination.

Narendra Modi Stadium pitch report for GT vs SRH

The Narendra Modi Stadium located in Ahmedabad is known to provide a favourable pitch for fast bowlers. The pitch has a good bounce which has been utilised by pacers in the past. Bowlers like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammad Shami would love to bowl on this pitch.

While the pacers could capitalise on the initial overs to generate some swing, the middle phase of the game should favour the batters. Additionally, the ground and its environs could provide an advantage, given the comparatively shorter boundaries and the swift outfield.
