Will fight for edu rights of people: RJD
Ranchi: Blaming the BJP-RSS combine for attacking parliamentary democracy, RJD leaders on Friday said the thoughts and principles of the Father of the Constitution, Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar, would be taken to the villages of the state.
Addressing media persons at the party’s state headquarters, former Union minister and RJD’s Jharkhand in charge Jai Prakash Narayan Yadav said Ambedkar gave the constitution to empower the poor people. He said the right to vote has the power to change a government.
“At present, there is an attack on parliamentary democracy besides poisoning the secular ‘Ganga-Jamuna Sanskriti’ culture of the country. RJD will fight for political, economic and educational rights of all people,” Yadav said.
On the efforts of Bihar Cm Nitish Kumar to unite the opposition, Yadav said the mission is successful as it has received positive signals from the opposition parties. He added that while RJD is trying to expand its base, it is also supporting the ‘BJP Hatao, Desh Bachao’ campaign. Former MLA Bhola Yadav said BJP wants to establish the old caste system which was prevalent before independence. Several RJD leaders, including state president Sanjay Singh Yadav, were present at the event.
