SP wins chairmanship of Jaswantnagar Palika Parishad

Kanpur: Samajwadi Party's Satya Narayan defeated his nearest BJP rival Jaishiv Balmiki by 4860 votes for the post of chairman of Jaswant Nagar Nagar Palika Parishad. He won by 4861 votes. This is the assembly segment of SP leader Shivpal Singh Yadav.
SP patron late Mulayam Singh Yadav too had reached the Vidhan Sabha for the first time by contesting elections from this Assembly seat which is considered to be a stronghold of the Samajwadi Party.
As BJP candidate Jai Shiv Balmiki was giving a tough fight to the SP candidate of SP, Shivpal Yadav had to handle the command of the campaign.
Similarly, SP candidate Ajay Yadav alias Gullu has won Bharthana Nagar Palika Parishad seat with 1607 votes defeating the BSP candidate.
