A man and woman in their 40s died Sunday after suffering “obvious signs of trauma” in what Orange County authorities believe was a targeted attack.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at about 6 a.m. Sunday and found the victims in a southwest Orange County home in the 10500 block of Bastille Lane near Winter Garden Vineland Road, a news release.

The release also said the attack appeared to be targeted.

The man and woman were taken to a nearby hospital where they both died from their injuries, the release said.

The investigation is still in its early stages and no further details were provided.
