Accused held only under preventive detention, yet to be arrested in FIR

Jaipur: The Jaipur police said that accused Amit Kumar (32) was held under 151 (arrest to prevent the commission of cognizable offences) of the CrPC and a probe was underway. The girl had filed an FIR against the accused following which he was held under multiple IPC sections including 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty). The police said that the accused was suffering from some ailments. “We are investigating the case to see what happened,” an officer said.
