Netflix's 'Beef' tops streaming menus in weekly ratings

Netflix's The Night Agent spent its fourth straight week streaming a billion minutes to the company's viewers, but Beef was what was for dinner for the biggest number of streaming subscribers.
Beef streamed 1.59B minutes to lead all shows in Nielsen's most recently weekly streaming ratings (for April 10-16).
That marked a 62% jump from an already impressive short first week for the dramedy on the streaming list. It bumped The Night Agent (with 1.166B minutes) from the top spot that it had held for three weeks.
Original programming again took residence at the top of the chart. Beef and The Night Agent were followed by Netflix's dating show Love is Blind (1.087B minutes), and Disney's (NYSE:DIS) The Mandalorian (1.025B minutes) -- all original hits.
Rounding out the Overall top 10: No. 5, CoComelon (NASDAQ:NFLX), 830M minutes; No. 6, NCIS (NFLX) (PARA) (PARAA), 779M minutes; No. 7, Bluey (DIS), 744M minutes; No. 8, South Park (NASDAQ:WBD), 726M minutes; No. 9, Florida Man (NFLX) 649M minutes; and No. 10, Grey's Anatomy (NFLX), 645M minutes.
As mentioned, five of those shows made up the top of the Original programs list. The next five there were No. 6, American Manhunt: The Boston Marathon Bombing (NFLX), 619M minutes; No. 7, Ted Lasso (NASDAQ:AAPL), 614M minutes; No. 8, Transatlantic (NFLX), 327M minutes; No. 9, Obsession (NFLX), 287M minutes; and No. 10, Star Trek: Picard (PARA) (PARAA), 276M minutes.
The Acquired programs chart offered HBO Max (WBD; soon to be Max) a chance to show off some hits. The service's South Park was on the Overall top 10 and landed at No. 4 among acquired shows. But a dramatic storyline also lifted Succession to No. 6 (638M minutes), and HBO Max also put The Big Bang Theory at No. 8 with 500M minutes.
And the Movies list saw a few eclectic additions. Netflix (NFLX) made up the top of the chart, with its The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die (451M minutes) and Chupa (450M minutes), and it shared the No. 3 spot with Hulu (DIS) (CMCSA) with The Last Stand (438M minutes). But Peacock (CMCSA) nosed into No. 4 with Cocaine Bear (324M minutes), and Amazon Prime Video (AMZN) to No. 5 with romantic comedy Ticket to Paradise (281M minutes).
Rounding out that movies list were No. 6, Matilda (NFLX), 270M minutes; No. 7, Moana (DIS), 251M minutes; No. 8, Murder Mystery 2 (NFLX), 246M minutes; No. 9, Dr. Seuss' The Lorax (NFLX), 225M minutes; and No. 10, Hunger (NFLX), 210M minutes.
