Montgomery man arrested in connection with fatal stabbing

Montgomery police arrested a 22-year-old man and charged him in connection with a fatal stabbing Friday night.

Around 11 p.m., officers and fire medics arrived in the 3200 block of Durham Drive after receiving a call that a person had been stabbed. Tony O'Neal, 57, of Georgia had a stab wound and he was pronounced dead at a Montgomery area hospital, said Lt. Raymond D. Carson, a spokesman for the Montgomery Police Department.

MPD charged De’trayveon White of Montgomery with murder, Carson said. White was quickly identified as a suspect, arrested on Saturday and he was then placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
