What Dianne Feinstein Forgets

Although William McGurn, a gentleman, doesn’t take a stand on whether Sen. Dianne Feinstein should retire, his column “The Age of Dianne Feinstein” (Main Street, May 9) provides plenty of evidence that she should tender her resignation. She is obviously suffering from memory loss. Mr. McGurn could have referred to a widely viewed video in which Mrs. Feinstein, questioned by a reporter, appears not to know that she has announced that she won’t seek another term. Confusion reigns. Either her staffer who made the announcement didn’t tell her or Mrs. Feinstein was told and forgot.
