RTÉ gave a platform to former British Tory minister Michael Portillo last week to advance his overblown theory about the alleged relationship between Michael Collins and Winston Churchill. In doing so it gave a new lease of life to the dominant anti-Treaty narrative that Collins and Griffith were patsies of the Brits.
