Police arrest six youths for using drugs

Thiruvananthapuram: Pettah police have arrested six youths for using drugs at Chaka and Kallumoodu on Friday late at night.
The arrested have been identified by police as Prithviraj , Alan William, Adarsh Antony, Adarsh, Subin Santhosh and Umanath. All were of 21 years of age.
Umanath was arrested from Kallumoodu while trying to smoke ganja and the five others were arrested from Lords Junction from an Innova with Nitrazepam tablets.
A case under Section 27 (b) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act has been registered against Umanath while Sections 22 (a), 27 (a), and 29 of the NDPS Act were charged against the five persons. Nitrazepam tablets and the Innova car were also seized by police.
