Salman Khan is vising West Bengal to participate in East Bengal football club's extended centenary celebrations
Bollywood actor Salman Khan on Saturday met Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee at her residence. The fans of the popular star gathered around the area to catch a glimpse of the actor, as he was greeted by the Chief Minister with a shawl.
Salman Khan is vising the state to participate in East Bengal football club's extended centenary celebrations which are scheduled for Saturday evening. He spent 30 minutes with the Chief Minister and the details of their interaction are not out yet.
The West Bengal police are ensuring that the security arrangements around the actor are tightened including at the hotel he is staying. The Bollywood personality has received multiple death threats in the last few months and the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has also issued an open threat to kill Salman Khan.
The actor has Y category security of Mumbai Police and recently Salman Khan opened up about how he is dealing the death threats.
"Security is better than insecurity. Yes, security is there. Now it is not possible to ride a bicycle on the road and go alone anywhere. And more than that, now I have this problem that when I am in traffic, then there is so much security, vehicles creating inconvenience to other people. They also give me a look. And my poor fans. There is a serious threat that's why there is security," Salman Khan said during an appearance on India TV' show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’.
"I am doing whatever I have been told. There is a dialogue 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' 'they have to be lucky 100 times, I have to be lucky once'. So, I got to be very careful," the actor added.
