Trouble for the BJP government is brewing in Manipur as 10 MLAs have denounced two-time Chief Minister N Biren Singh's leadership. All 10 Kuki-Chin-Zomi legislators, seven of whom are from BJP and include two ministers, two from Kuki People's Alliance and one Independent signed a statement and categorically demanded the Centre to grant a separate administration for the hilly Kuki-dominated regions under the Indian Constitution. The statement said, 'As the state of Manipur has miserably failed to protect us, we seek from the Union of India a separate administration under the Constitution of India and live peacefully as neighbours with the state of Manipur.'
