RANCHI: Alex Singh of Delhi Public School, Ranchi, bagged the top position in science stream by scoring 98.4% but he was outperformed by Ritwika Khaitan of Sarala Birla School of commerce stream who scored even higher percentage of 98.6.
Jas Simran Kaur of Jawahar Vidya Mandir, Shyamali, secured the top position in arts stream with 97.8% marks in the CBSE Class XII finals, results of which were declared on Friday.
In science stream, Apurva Ojaswi of DPS, Ranchi and Subhangi of JVM Shyamali, grabbed the second position with 98.2% followed by Shreya Singh of DPS School with 98%.
Manya Goyal of DAV Public School, Hehal, secured the second position from the commerce stream by scoring 98.4%, while Kumari Riya of DPS School secured the third position with 98%.
Mahi Verma of JVM Shyamali, bagged the second position from arts stream with 97.4%. Apkesha Jain of the same school, Swarnima Mallika Toppo of Oxford Public School, Payal Sinha and Shivangi Shushma of DPS Ranchi secured the third position in arts stream with 97.2% marks each.
A total of 262 students from Kairali School appeared for the examination from the science stream, among which 9 students scored more than 90%. Rohan Kumar bagged the first position by scoring 96.4%, followed by Suraj Kumar, who bagged the second position and Somya Kumari third position by scoring 96.2% and 95.2% respectively.
From commerce stream, a total of 132 students appeared for the exam, among whom 10 students scored more than 90%. Saaransh Khemka emerged the topper by scoring 94.2% followed by Sagnik Anand who bagged the second position by scoring 92.6% and Vansh Chopra, who bagged the third position by scoring 92.4%.
From DAV Public School, Hehal, 336 students appeared from the science stream among whom 59 students scored more than 90%. Jaya Kumari secured the first position from the science stream by scoring 97.6%, followed by Reedhima Shah at second position with 96% and Prince Patwa at third position with 95.8%.
From the commerce stream, 19 students scored more than 90%. Manya Goyal secured the first position from the commerce stream by scoring 98.4% followed by Rohit Raj with 96.8%, and Akansha Verma with 95%.
Altogether 139 students appeared from the arts stream, 35 students scored more than 90%. Anya Sinha secured the first position in the arts stream by scoring 98%, followed by Lawanya Kumari, with 97% and Priya Sharma secured the third position by scoring 96.8%.
