NABARD funded rural haat opens in Sakraba, Nagaland

Kohima, May 13 (KNN) The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) funded Sakraba Rural Haat was inaugurated on May 11.
The Sakraba Rural Haat was inaugurated by Tiakala Ao, General Manager NABARD, RO Dimapur.
Addressing the occasion, Tiakala underlined that the main visions of NABARD are to act as the development bank of the nation for fostering rural prosperity; to promote sustainable and equitable agriculture and rural development through participative financial and non-financial intervention etc.
“The Rural Haat has been made disabled friendly making it accessible for wheelchair passageways, emphasising eco-friendly and a traditional hut constructed by the village council for the weary travelers to rest with a facility of pay-and-use toilet,” she added.
Key persons present at the inaugural ceremony included Phuniang SDO(C) Pfutsero, Nehusa VCC Sakraba, Vizonuo Pienyii BDO Chizami.
