Sand trader found killed in Bhojpur dist

ARA: A 45-year-old sand trader was found murdered in an orchard near the bank of Sone river at Bishunpur village under Chandi police station in Bhojpur district on Friday morning. A blood-soaked shovel was found near the body, indicating the use of it in the murder.
According to police, the deceased was identified as Jeetan Singh, a resident of Bishunpur under Chandi police station in the district. Angry over the murder, locals blocked the road near Bishunpur and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits. They lifted the blockade after senior police officials assured them to conduct a thorough investigation into the case and arrest the accused at the earliest.
Chandi SHO Saurabh Kumar, "Prima facie it seems a case of an altercation between two villagers over some trivial issue that resulted into the death of one. Family members of the deceased have not yet lodged a case in this connection. However, we are investigating the case; further probe will reveal more facts about the case."
