LeBron James Comes Out the Winner in His Latest Playoff Showdown With Stephen Curry

Throughout the conference semifinal series, the Lakers’ supporting cast helped carry LeBron James. In the deciding game Friday night, James returned the favor.

LeBron James showed signs of his age.

In the third quarter of Friday night’s Game 6 against the Golden State Warriors, as the Los Angeles Lakers stretched out a double-digit lead, James didn’t smack Draymond Green’s layup attempt against the backboard but rather just reached it, tapping it off-course with a fingertip. After he blocked the shot, James sprinted 94 feet to the other end of the floor and caught a pass. No stanchion-shaking dunk this time; at 38 years old, James settled for coaxing in a layup.
