BHUBANESWAR: Heatwave condition is likely to prevail at isolated places in some districts of interior Odisha for two days starting Monday, the IMD forecast on Friday. Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Angul, Sonepur, Boudh and Balangir districts are likely to come under its effect. Also, the mercury would rise by 2°C to 4°C at many places over the state during the next two days, said H R Biswas, the regional head of IMD centre in the city.
On Friday, Jharsuguda recorded the day’s highest of 41.6°C and Bhubaneswar 37.2°C. tnn
