Gurgaon records second Covid death this mth

GURGAON: The city saw second Covid-19 death this month on Friday. A 76-year-old man — who was fully vaccinated — died after testing positive for the infection. On May 10, a 76-year-old woman had succumbed to Covid.
The patient who died on Friday was admitted to a private hospital on May 9 for shortness of breath, fever and cough. Doctors said he was suffering from a chronic kidney ailment and hypertension.
He was administered IV fluids and antibiotics, and also given oxygen support and other supportive measures. “He suffered a cardiac arrest on Friday. CPR was initiated but he could not be revived,” officials at the hospital said.
Meanwhile, the city recorded 12 new Covid-19 cases on Friday. A total of 1,213 samples were tested. The city now has 184 active cases, of whom four patients are in hospitals. Haryana reported 56 new cases on Friday.
