Most beauty lovers know the phenomenon of Dyson's Airwrap Styler—a multi-attachment tool that promises to dry and curl hair in one swoop. The hairstyling tool is a fan-favorite, as it cuts down on styling time and promises less heat damage on the hair. Now, the iconic vacuum-turned-beauty brand offers the $500 Dyson Airstrait, a straightening device that looks like a traditional flat iron but "allows users to go from wet-to-dry hair in a more efficient and healthy way—no hot plates and no heat damage."

Dyson Airstrait claims to help multiple hair types "achieve a natural straight style with body and movement." The device has two "arms" and forms a V-shape—just like a flat iron—which keeps hair in place while a "a precisely angled high-pressure blade of air is forced downwards and into the hair, both simultaneously drying and straightstyling."
The tool features two styling modes, each of which are pre-set with heat and airflow combinations for "the best results:" Wet mode allows you to choose among 175°F, 230°F and 285°F, while dry mode offers 250°F or 285°F. The airflow speed settings are "low flow" and "high flow" as well as "cold shot" to set your style and "root drying mode." While you're styling, the tool uses its "intelligent heat control" to measure the air's temperature 30 times per second "to prevent extreme heat damage and protect hair's natural shine."
Dyson Airstrait is available now at Sephora, Ulta and Dyson.
