With India witnessing an increase in the number of incidences involving cultural ignorance, Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi on May 12 in Chennai said that Tamil Nadu is not adequately ‘understood and appreciated’ in some parts of Northern India because of ‘ignorance’.Hailing the Tamilian culture, the state Governor further recalled the long-debated discussion over the origins of the Sanskrit and Tamil language. “Tamil Nadu is not adequately understood and appreciated in some of the northern parts of the country because of ignorance. And I must confess that during my stay here, every day I am more and more fascinated by learning things about this place,” the state Governor said.
