Odisha has become leading innovation, technology hub of India: CM Patnaik

Bhubaneswar, May 13 (KNN) Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that the state in the last decade has transformed as one of the leading innovation centers and technology hubs of India.
Addressing the second edition of Transforming Odisha Conclave – 2023 on Thursday in virtual mode, the chief minister said that Big IT players like Infosys, TCS and Tech Mahindra have recorded consistent growth over the years contributing to software exports from the state.
“Over the years, many homegrown IT companies have ascended the value chain in terms of business maturity, market acquisition and quality standards.” he said.
Transforming Odisha Conclave was jointly organised in collaboration with Electronics and Information Technology Department, Odisha, Computer Application Centre (OCAC) & ET Government, an initiative of The Economic Times.
Patnaik added that the state is strengthening the talent pool qualitatively and quantitatively through world-class skilling, reskilling and up-skilling programs so that the industry will not have to look far for hiring manpower resources.
Minister, Science & Technology Ashok Chandra Panda said, “Odisha as a state has made rapid strides in the science and technology space in the last couple of decades adding that these strides have transformed Odisha into a major technology hub.” (KNN Bureau)
