The popular Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has vehemently denied the accusations made against him by the Marunadan Malayali YouTube channel. On May 11, the channel made the accusation that he had been involved in making propaganda films and had been ordered to pay the Enforcement Directorate (ED) an amount of Rs 25 crore.

However, prithviraj voiced his profound sadness and harshly criticized the web portals that circulated unfounded claims about him. He made it clear that, contrary to the portal's suggestion, he had not paid any fine. He also wanted to file a lawsuit against the websites that disseminated false information that was defamatory.

It has come to my attention that the YouTube channel known as Marunadanmalayali has published a false and defamatory story, alleging that I have paid a fine of Rs 25,00,00,000 in response to proceedings started by the Enforcement Directorate and am producing propaganda films. prithviraj made this statement on his instagram account. The accusations are false, vindictive, and defamatory. In response to the untrue and defamatory claims made against me, I have filed a lawsuit. I thus want all accountable media outlets to make sure that any further coverage of the claims only occurs when the facts have been independently verified and substantiated.
