Gujarat: Senior instructor of Western Railway arrested for accepting bribe

AHMEDABAD: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a senior instructor of the Western Railway from Ahmedabad for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 25,000 from a complainant.
The CBI has registered a complaint against the instructor, diesel shed at Sabarmati in the city.
It was alleged that the accused had demanded a bribe of Rs 50,000 for getting the mutual transfer application of the complainant forwarded to the DRM Office.
CBI officials said that the accused later agreed to accept Rs 40,000 from the complainant and would then forward the application to the DRM office for approval.
The CBI laid a trap and caught the accused while he was accepting RS 25,000 cash from the complainant. The senior instructor has been arrested and would now be produced in the court.
