AHMEDABAD: The Central Board of Secondary Education announced Class 12 results on Friday, and the total pass percentage was 87.33%.
There is no merit list this year, but 1.36% of the students scored 95% and above, while 6.80% scored 90% and above in the country. Girls outshone boys with an overall pass percentage of 90.68%.
However, the pass percentage of girls had declined compared to last year, when 94.54% of girls had passed. Similarly, 84.67% of boys passed the exams this year, with a lower pass percentage than last year's 91.25%. The class 12 board exams occurred from February 15 to April 5 this year.
The students were all smiles in the city as they checked their results. Most schools registered cent per cent results, and students even scored full marks in various subjects.
Once again, the students of DPS Bopal showed stupendous performance and met the expectations of all. Of the 362 students who appeared for exams in various streams, 107 secured 90 and above marks. Scoring 97.6%, Arshia Adhya emerged as the topper in the Science stream. At Zydus School For Excellence in Godhavi, Anaya Karan emerged as the school topper by scoring 96.2% Most of the students scored distinction at Maharaja Agrasen Vidyalaya. Paraj Modi topped the school's merit list in Science by scoring 96.40%. Of the 51 students who appeared for the exam at St Kabir School, Anshul Patel and Shreshtha Shrinivas, with 93%, emerged as the school toppers. At Udgam School For Children, Chahat Verma scored 97.4% to emerge as a school topper. While at Kenalilly School For Children, Sarisha Singhvi and Sakshi Saran emerged as school toppers by scoring 95.8%. Pranshul Bhargava emerged as a topper with 96% at Divine Child International School in Adalaj.
As many as 69.44% of students got distinction in the A group, and 91.18 % got distinction in the B group at Prakash School. Nupur Assudani emerged as a topper with 95.6% in the A group, while Hrishi Mehta, with 96.8%, was a topper in the B group. At DAV International School, Zeel Shah emerged as the school topper in the Science stream, scoring 96.6 %.
