Sequoia Capital India announced that it has invested USD 3 million in InCore Semiconductors, marking its second investment in an Indian semiconductor startup.
The announcement of the investment was made during the ‘SemiCon India FutureDesign Roadshow’ event, which was led by the Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, at IIT-Delhi.
InCore Semiconductors, an Indian company that specialises in building RISC-V processor cores, raised funding from Sequoia Capital India as part of its seed funding round.
According to G S Madhusudan, InCore Semiconductors’ CEO, and co-founder, receiving funding from Sequoia was a vital milestone for the startup’s efforts to establish a top-notch RISC-V ecosystem within the country.
