The story of 'Asterix and Obelix the Middle Kingdom' is related to a Chinese princess Fu Yi. Fu Yi, the only daughter of the Chinese emperor Han Xuandi, flees to Gaul to escape a strict prince. Arriving in Gaul, she asks Asterix and Obelix for help in saving her kingdom. Asterix and Obelix are brave warriors from Gaul. Both consume a magical potion that makes them much more powerful. With their bravery, they both free the Chinese Empire from their enemies.

For those who have not followed the comic books of Asterix and Obelix and the series of films released so far, this film is a bit difficult to understand. But, director Guillaume Canet has taken great care of humor while making this film panoramic. The characters of the film are funny and the environment is pleasant. In terms of visuals, the film is number one, just because this film is a 100% comic book story, watching it is also a big task in terms of entertainment.

Weak story of main characters

But, no big action scene is seen till late. This film named after Asterix and Obelix does not do justice to the characters of these two. And, in this case, the team that wrote its story, screenplay, and dialogues seems to have failed.
