Ramgarh: Chief minister Hemant Soren on Thursday inaugurated G+3 VIP guest house in the Patratu Lake Resort (PLR) of Jharkhand Tourism Development Corporation (JTDC) with five-star facilities. He was accompanied by tourism, sports and youth affairs minister Hafizul Hasan.
Soren also laid foundation stone of projects and unveiled schemes worth Rs 25 crore in Patratu.
While addressing the public, Soren expressed his displeasure over leaving behind garbage at tourist destinations, including Patratu Lake Resort by local vendors andtourists and said that it was the collective responsibility of societies to keep tourist places garbage-free.
“Locals, vendors and tourists carry edible items packed in plastic and throw them into the dam water instead of dropping in dustbins ,” he said.
Several people from within and outside the state visit tourist as well as religious places which include Baijnath Dham and Basukinath temple in Deoghar, Dewri temple in Ranchi district and Chhinnamastika temple in Ramgarh district.
Speaking on the occasion, Hasan said that the government has a plan to set up a 6 km-long ropeway in Patratu.
