Ganja worth 30 lakh seized, 3 peddlers held

MAHABUBABAD: Nellikudur police arrested three ganja peddlers and seized 150 kilogram of dry ganja worth 30 lakh on Thursday.
The arrested persons were P Naresh, Ch Anil and B Venkatesh, all hailing from Mahabubabad district. However, the main accused identified as J Sunil, resident of Vavilala village in Nellikudur Mandal in the district, is absconding. Nellikudur cops apprehended the trio and seized 150kg dry ganja packets, Sharat Chandra Pawar, Mahabubabad superintendent of police (SP) told reporters.
The main accused used to purchase ganja from Bhadrachalam and store it in his agricultural fields in Vavilala. He was addicted to alcohol and used to live a lavish life.
To meet his expenses, he began selling ganja at high prices in Hyderabad. A case has been registered.
