The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has announced the appointment of new office bearers for its National Expert Committee on Textiles. Ajay Sardana, President & Head Strategy & Business Development-Polyester at Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), has been appointed as Co-Chairman (North) of the committee. Recognised as one of the Most Influential Sustainability Leaders of India in 2018 and recipient of the India Sustainable Leadership Award in 2017, Sardana brings significant expertise and leadership to the role.

Sanjay Kr. Jain, Managing Director of TT Limited, has been reappointed as the Chairman of the committee. He has been actively working on policy matters at both Central and state levels for the last decade and has held leadership positions in various nationally recognised textile bodies.

ManMohan Singh, Chief Marketing Officer of Grasim Industries Limited, has been elected as Co-Chairman (West) of the committee. With 35 years of experience in the textile industry, he has successfully led numerous textile projects and market growth strategies across various sectors, including cotton, wool, linen, MMCF, woven, knitted apparel, and home textiles space.

With the theme for 2022-2023 set as "India 2047", the committee will work closely with the government to organise investment summits, promote activities on both national and international levels, and foster stakeholder consultations.

The ICC National Expert Committee on Textiles aims to facilitate stakeholder consultations, work on sector-specific projects such as MSME and skill building, and provide a platform for members to interact with industry partners, governments, and global leaders.
