Head constable found dead in Kaushambi

Prayagraj: The body of a 45-year-old head constable was found under mysterious circumstances at the strong room building of Bhavan’s Mehta Mahavidyalaya under the limits of Manjhanpur police station of Kaushambi district on Thursday, police said. Police said head constable Rajiv Kumar of Ghazipur, was posted at reserve police lines and assigned escorting duty at the strong room. SP (Kaushambi) Brijesh Kumar Srivastava told TOI: “Initial investigations revealed that Kumar slipped from the roof of the building. The body has been sent for postmortem and police was probing as to how he fell from the roof.” He added when Kumar didn’t report on duty on Thursday morning his colleagues started search for him and subsequently spotted the body found lying on backside of the strong room building.
