Gurgaon: An employee of a private company has been booked for allegedly absconding with company assets and other credentials. The accused stopped going to work without notice, the police said on Thursday.
The accused, identified as Shivam Gangwar, had been working for nearly two months.
A representative of the company has filed a complaint at Sector 37 police station, alleging that Gangwar had joined the company as an assistant general manager in March and has been absconding since April 19.
“The accused was given a laptop and an
iPhone by the company for official purposes. He was also given Rs 47,757 as advance for business promotion and advertisement. He attended the office till April 19. Thereafter, he did not turn up,” said
Sandeep Kumar on Wednesday.
Police have booked the accused under IPC Section 408 (breach of trust).
“We are verifying the charges and trying to trace the accused,” said Sector 37 SHO Aman Kumar.
