ReutersPIGL(up 4.94%), Inox Wind Energy(up 3.76%), NLC India(up 1.83%), Inox wind(up 1.82%), KPI Green Energy(up 0.83%), CESC(up 0.72%), PTC India(up 0.43%), Tata Power Company(up 0.36%), Hitachi Energy India(up 0.31%) and Kalpataru Power Transmission(up 0.22%) stood among the top gainers.
Jyoti Structures(down 3.76%), Adani Transmissions(down 3.54%), Orient Green Power Company(down 2.79%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 2.74%), NTPC(down 2.56%), KEC International(down 2.18%), ADANIGREEN(down 1.96%), Indowind Energy(down 1.65%), Gujarat Industries Power(down 1.54%) and Karma Energy(down 1.22%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 17.8 points up at 18314.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 123.38 points at 62027.9.
Eicher Motors(up 6.49%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.97%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.79%), Axis Bank(up 1.64%), Hindustan Unilever(up 1.2%), HDFC Bank(up 0.88%), Tata Motors(up 0.85%), State Bank of India(up 0.82%), Hero MotoCorp(up 0.79%) and Bajaj Finance(up 0.76%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Hindalco Industries(down 3.83%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 2.86%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 2.74%), NTPC(down 2.56%), UltraTech Cement(down 1.69%), Tata Steel(down 1.66%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 1.45%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 1.24%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 1.19%) and Grasim Industries(down 1.14%) closed in the red.
