According to the latest reports, an FIR has been registered against former Managing director of 'Bharatpay' Ashneer Grover and his wife Madhuri Jain for cheating them of Rs 81 crore. Former Managing director of 'BharatPe' and business reality show 'Shark Tank india fame Ashneer Grover and his wife Madhuri Grover and two other members of their family are in trouble. The Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of delhi police has registered an FIR against Ashneer and some of his family members on charges of cheating based on a complaint by 'Fintech Unicorn'.

Ashneer Grover was accused of fraud of Rs 81 crore

According to reports, Ashneer and his wife Madhuri Jain have been accused of cheating to the tune of Rs 81 crore. According to police sources, the couple had allegedly transferred Rs 81 crore from the company's account to the accounts of their relatives and acquaintances by creating fake invoices. All this happened when Ashneer's wife Madhuri was the Joint director of HR of 'Bharat Pay'. Apart from Ashneer and Madhuri, the FIR names family members including deepak Gupta, suresh Jain, and Shwetank Jain.

'BharatPe' issues statement on registration of FIR against Ashneer

BharatPe has stated after the FIR was lodged against Ashneer and Madhuri. The statement read, "We welcome the FIR lodged by the EOW against Ashneer Grover, his wife Madhuri Jain, and other family members. A vicious and malicious conspiracy by Grover against the company, its board, and its employees for the last 15 months The campaign is being run.

The statement further added, "Registration of the FIR is a step in the right direction, which will unearth various dubious transactions carried out by Grover's family for their pecuniary gains.
