Several people reportedly sent money to the same cause. As far as is known, neither Aishwarya's friends nor family have started a GoFundMe page or any other kind of fundraising effort.

Many have been struck by the incident's poignancy and are stepping forward to support the family. Criminals are taking advantage of this circumstance and attempting to profit from it in the same way as scavengers do. It is urged that donors should only offer their support for the victims through online fundraising if they are encouraged to do so by reputable public news sources and people they personally know. There are vultures out there who use such dishonest methods to try and get quick money, and it's crucial to stop feeding them.
