A major explosion hits centre of Italy’s Milan after Van explodes

According to the local news a massive explosion happened at the center of Milan in northern Italy on Thursday that has rocked the city with chaos.

Several vehicles were in flames, possibly coming from a van, a news channel has reported. The incident has caused injuries to one person.

There were no additional reports of any death as exclaimed by the fire brigade.

The local Italian media has stated that the explosion was suspected to have originated in a van that was transporting oxygen gas canisters.

Also reported, was immediate enforcement of the evacuation of a nearby nursery school and residential apartment buildings.

Viral images on the news channel show us that a cloud of dark smoke was seen rising from a narrow street near Porta Romana in the very heart of Italy’s Finance and fashion capital. 

It is exclaimed that the firefighters had the situation under control.
