Ordinance for govt hirings promulgated

Panaji: An ordinance has been promulgated by governor P S Sreedharan Pillai allowing the state to fill posts of various departments that were advertised in early January 2022, before the code of conduct came into force for the 2022 assembly elections. The ordinance, seeking to amend the Goa Staff Selection Commission Act, 2019, was notified in the official gazette on Wednesday and states that the vacancies must be filled by August 31, 2023. tnn
