ReutersSanofi India(up 6.2 per cent), Ipca Laboratories(up 1.36 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(up 1.04 per cent), Pfizer(up 0.92 per cent) and Abbott India(up 0.5 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 6.44 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma(down 2.14 per cent), Alkem Laboratories(down 1.5 per cent), Natco Pharma(down 1.25 per cent) and Zydus Lifesciences(down 1.04 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 1.03 per cent at 12585.4 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 14.7 points at 18329.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 60.2 points at 62000.4.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red.
Shares of Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd., Vodafone Idea, Zomato Ltd., Rail Vikas Nigam and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of De Nora India, Quality Foils(India, Atam Valves, Eimco Elecon and Ratnamani Metal hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Cyber Media Research & Services Ltd., Jakharia Fabric, Vasa Retail & Overse, Cineline India and A G Universal hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
