Future Consumer(down 4.17%), Euro India Fresh Foods(down 1.81%), Varun Beverages(down 1.67%), Prataap Snacks(down 1.58%), Dangee Dums(down 1.46%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(down 0.83%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(down 0.75%), Sheetal Cool Products(down 0.63%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(down 0.60%) and TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.21%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 18.1 points down at 18297.0, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 35.68 points at 61904.52.
Adani Enterprises(up 4.89%), Asian Paints(up 3.23%), Hindustan Unilever(up 2.76%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 2.58%), NTPC(up 1.41%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.27%), UltraTech Cement(up 1.19%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.01%), HCL Technologies(up 0.91%) and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.84%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 6.89%), Larsen & Toubro(down 5.17%), Hindalco Industries(down 3.57%), Divis Laboratories(down 2.8%), JSW Steel(down 1.9%), ITC(down 1.16%), Bharti Airtel(down 0.94%), Reliance Industries(down 0.65%), Tata Steel(down 0.64%) and Infosys(down 0.57%) closed in the red.
