Yashasvi smashes Rana for 26 in the first over

Yashasvi has become just the second player in IPL 2023 to smash 500-plus runs (575). He joined RCB skipper Faf du Plessis. Playing his 12th match, Yashasvi now has one ton and four fifties this season.

Yashasvi remained unbeaten on 98 from 47 balls, hammering 13 fours and five sixes. He struck at 208.51. Yashasvi has now raced to 1,122 runs in the IPL at 33.00. He smashed his seventh IPL fifty. As per Cricbuzz, Yashasvi smashed the joint-fourth-highest runs by an individual in the powerplay of an IPL inning. Suresh Raina (87) holds the record.
121-run stand alongside Samson
Yashasvi shared a match-winning 121-run stand alongside RR skipper Sanju Samson (48*). As per ESPNcricinfo, Yashasvi and Samson's unbeaten stand is now the 10th-best for RR in IPL history. It's also the fourth-highest stand for the second wicket for the Royals.
All-round Royals punish Knight Riders at Eden Gardens
All-round RR handed KKR one of their worst defeats in Indian Premier League history. RR restricted KKR to just 149/8 as Yuzvendra Chahal claimed figures worth 4/25. In response, Yashasvi and Samson helped RR win in 13.1 overs. As per Cricbuzz, RR scripted the second-fastest run-chase (150-plus target) in terms of balls remaining (41). Yashasvi's 98* is the second-best score in the above-mentioned chase.
